Thai Elite Visa for long term stay in Thailand

Thai Elite Visa for long term stay in Thailand

What is it? Who is this visa suitable for? The cost?

Recently, obtaining an Elite visa has been gaining popularity among foreign citizens, which gives its holders not only the opportunity to stay in the country for up to 20 years but also a number of special privileges.

In this article, we will understand the Thailand Elite program and Elite visa.

Who is the Thailand Elite visa for?

This visa is for those who love Thailand and for those who have money. Of course, first of all, this type of visa is suitable for those who have purchased real estate here or are just planning to do so.

As an example, let's say you buy an apartment in Phuket and want to stay here for more than 30 days (30 days on the stamp), then you have to think about what options you have in order to legalize your stay in Thailand.

Thailand Elite or Elite visa is primarily a special program designed to obtain multiple entry visas to Thailand for a period of 5 to 20 years. This program was launched back in 2003 by a private Thai company Thailand Privilege Card Company Limited with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. But the program gained popularity only in recent years, thanks to its new partner, Henley & Partners, which began to actively promote this program in international markets. Today, Henley & Partners has become an officially authorized company to promote Thai long-term multiple entry visas.

First of all, it should be understood that the Elite visa is not one of the ways to obtain a residence permit. This is just a special program for a long stay in the country.

By becoming a Thailand Elite member, you will be offered five visa packages:

  • Elite Ultimate Privilege
  • Elite Privilege Access, Elite Easy Access
  • Elite Superiority Extension
  • Elite Family Alternative
  • Elite Family Excursion
  • Elite Family Premium

* The cost of these visa packages starts from 700 thousand baht, for a period of 5 to 20 years.

When entering the country, the passport is stamped for 1 year. This stamp is renewed every year at the Bangkok Immigration Office. It is not necessary to travel outside the country.

The number of entries - exits to Thailand is unlimited. A Re-entry Permit is not required.

The extension procedure, as well as the visit of the immigration office itself, can be performed by Thailand Elite employees. The service is already included in your visa package.

You can include other family members in your visa package (additional cost).

Possibility of one-time transfer of membership in the program to another person (for an additional fee).

Special privileges:

  • The owner of the Thailand Elite card will not have to stand in queues to go through passport control at the airports of Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok), Phuket, and Chiang Mai.
