New Shopping Mall in Phuket: Porto de Phuket

New Shopping Mall in Phuket: Porto de Phuket

The area of Bang Tao recently introduced the very smart and upmarket and outdoor lifestyle mall known as ”Porto de Phuket”.

Approximately 1 billion baht was spent in developing Porto de Phuket and in December of 2019, it
opened its doors, which has since been the new happening place to shop, dine or pamper yourself. This
has been a great addition to the Bang Tao area. Due to there only being a few retail chains mostly
located in Boat Avenue this was felt very necessary to facilitate the growing number of tourists, ex-pat
residents and locals choosing to stay in and around Bang Tao, Chergntalay and Laguna area. It was
deemed that customers in the Chergntalay and Laguna area do have the highest spending power.
The lifestyle mall consists of seven features, including a Phuketian Mercado and a Food Hall with
eateries, cafes, bars and beverage stores. Central Food Hall, a restaurant and cafe zone, a multi-design
house offering various creative products from top designers around the world, as well as new formats of
Supersports, Power Buy, B2S, and Family Mart convenience stores are all planned for the mall.
What is also fantastic is that there is lots of parking for extra convenience and the lifestyle mall has been
designed in such a way that there is an abundance of open space, so should the mall become a busy one
would still have lots of outside space to enjoy shopping without fear of overcrowding which has been
the case at times during busy periods while shopping in Boat Avenue. The mall definitely provides the
the feeling of luxury.

Kids have their own outside play area with fancy jungle gyms and trampolines, just perfect to keep them
occupied for hours while you shop or enjoy some of their lovely restaurant options. The Tops
supermarket is spacious and even has its own cheese room, something quite unique. The great thing is
you can go shopping and then inside tops, you can sit and enjoy some of the delicious food options once
you done with your shopping or simply have yourself a nice coffee. If you fancy a massage or getting
your nails done there are a few salons to help you unwind and pamper yourself. The mall also offers a
few clothing boutiques whether you simply in the mood for window shopping or feel like picking out
some new designer clothes.

Occasionally there is live entertainment in the middle of the mall outside of the Tops supermarket and
food hall. Sometimes they have puppet shows for the kids, live music such as jazz bands, carnival-type
themes with clowns on stilts and acrobats. Certainly, a very fun and family-friendly setting which makes
this lifestyle mall work incredibly well for the public.
